DAILY BREAD YUMENA BERNING
Yumena Berning is a California Girl who’s made a huge splash in the early months of the 2025 racing season. At just 9 years of age, Yumena has been wildly competitive in both the girls and boys classes. Yumena has the innate ability to fearlessly attack any section that lies ahead with the perfect combination of poise and ferocity. Yumena showed up to Spring A Ding Ding at Oakhill Raceway with something to prove. Competing in a total of seven classes, Yumena would rely on her relentless resilience and stamina throughout the week’s events. Upon arrival, Yumenaimmediately made her presence known on the Supercross track. After intense battles with the likes of Jett Rau and Kameron Buckman, Yumena would pilot her KTM right to the podium for a 3rd overall result in the 65cc 7-9 class. Berning found the top 10 again in the 65 Open class before lining up for the Girls 9-15 SX Main event. Being one of the youngest riders in the class, she had her work cut out for her, but if you know Yumena, no challenge is too tall. Yumenawould put on a spectacle of technical competency and pure speed to ultimately secure a 4th place overall finish. With the Motocross portion of the event at the forefront, the #141 would string together a collection of inspiring rides and top finishes, including three trips to the podium. Although she is a top competitor with her natural talent on the motorcycle, Yumena continues to shine off the track where her dignified character and sophisticated demeanor is bar none. If you are ever lucky enough to catch a conversation with Yumena, you are sure to enjoy her courteous nature that is usually only found in riders far, far older. The combination of her top-tier character and natural talent on the bike is empirical evidence that the 141 is bound for success as the 2025 season continues to shake out.
