Boone Lloyd of Bedford, VA, has assumed command early in the 2025 racing season. The 8-year-old rider has exercised dominance at Spring Nationals thus far. The Cobra Elite teammate is incredibly fast in the corners and showcases a certain maturity in his riding style despite his young age. Lloyd kicked things off at Daytona, where his break-neck speed and technical ability would guide him to two championship wins in the Sunshine State for RCSX. Heading west to Texas, the 412 would secure 3 top 5 finishes before arriving at Oak Hill Raceway for Spring a Ding Ding. It was there where Boone Lloyd and his blonde locks would put on an inspiring display of stamina and prowess, competing in 9 total classes at Spring A Ding Ding. Lloyd would find the top 10 in the overall results in all of his classes in the supercross portion, including two appearances in the top 3. When the venue moved to outdoors, the 412 did not waiver. He battled with the best of the best in each of his classes, ultimately resulting in 3 trips to the podium and strong rides every time his Dunlops hit the dirt. We sat down with the Virginia boy to talk wrestling, artistic aptitude, and his crazy Uncle Duck.

Give us the basics. (name, age, hometown)

Boone Lloyd, 8 years old from Bedford, VA

Tell us about getting your first motorcycle.

I got a PW50 when I was 3 and then I spent the next few years trying to catch up to my brother and all his friends!  I was the young one in the group but it paid off!

Describe a typical day in your life.

Wake up, eat breakfast, go to school, come home, ride, and then head to football, wrestling, or baseball practice.

If you were forced to have a non-athletic career, what would it be?

I would do something in art

Tell us about your funnest family member.

My Uncle Duck- He is crazy and always ready to have fun! I live on a family farm with all my cousins. He is always finding a way for us to have fun but makes it “extreme!” He lives by the motto, “If you’re gonna be dumb you better be tough!”

Best moment on a motocross bike.

Winning Loretta Lynn’s in 2022 when I was 5 however winning the KTM Jr Challenge in Vegas at the Supermotocross finals is right up there with it!

Describe your training program.

I try my best to ride at least once a week and catch as many races as we can on the weekends. When I’m off the track I’m staying in shape playing football, wrestling and baseball.

Favorite pre-race meal?

Chicken Alfredo

Gnarliest crash you’ve ever had.

Crashed my Ebike at Daytona and broke my collarbone and wrist
