DAILY BREAD CAROLINA DI PRIMA
For Southlake Texan Carolina Di Prima, Racing is a family affair. Teamed up with her father and sister Valentina, Carolina has been fully engulfed in the Texas moto scene. Carolina excelled in the inaugural running of the Awful Eight series. After a collection of impressive rides at the top tracks in Texas, Di Prima would be rewarded with 4th and 3rd-place overall results for the series. Unfortunately, an injury threw a wrench in Carolina’s early spring plans, but she’s since recovered and continues her podium pursuit. For Carolina, family time is everything. When asked about what she looks forward to getting out of the sport, she simply wants to continue to do what she loves alongside her father and sister. Di Prima’s training routine is nothing short of rigorous. Every day, it’s a two-mile run, weight training, and time with the Core Trimmer, an abdominal exercise system company that Carolina owns with her father and sister. There is no doubt that Carolina’s fiery work ethic, natural talent, and strong support system will take her far in our sport. We caught up with Di Prima to talk Texas racing, hidden talents, and family business.
Give us the basics.

Tell us about getting your first motorcycle.
I got my first motorcycle for Christmas when I was 12. I had begged my dad for a dirt bike every day because he used to race and I wanted to ride and race with him.
Describe a typical day in your life.
I get up early every day. On school days I have school all day, participate in school sports (running) then do a lot of homework and play with my dog, Fluffy. I train with my family 2-3 nights during the school week. On weekends, my father, sister, and I are at the track all day. We travel all over Texas to compete in as many events as possible. On weekends when there are no races, I am at the track by 7:00 am to practice and train all day.
If you were forced to have a non-athletic career, what would it be?
If I couldn’t have a motocross career I would want to do something artistic.
Tell us about your funnest family member.
Definitely my dad! He is so funny and love adventure.
Best moment on a motocross bike.
My best moment on my motocross bike would be when I went to Athens Mx because I felt like I raced very well that day.
Describe your training program.
I train at least three days a week – more if there aren’t any weekend races. I have been training with John Short – but I also train with my dad, who is a very good trainer.
Favorite pre-race meal?
My favorite pre-race meal would probably be hammer gel with a monster, because I don’t like eating before riding because it makes me feel sick.
Gnarliest crash you’ve ever had.
One of the worst crashes I ever had was at the River Valley MX track. I was going to jump the table jump, and I didn’t see a really big rock on the track. When I hit it, I fell, and three people ran over me. The bike burned my leg and I could not walk.
Best road trip story.
Any trip to the beach. My family drives back to Florida a lot and I love to be at the beach. I also love to eat a lot on the way.
Worst road trip story.
The trip to Cycle Ranch because a girl there gave me pink eye.
What do you love about being at the track besides racing your bike?
I love making friends and meeting new people. I love riding around with the other racers and the sense of community we all have.
What are you looking forward to getting out of this sport?
Being the best girl racer in the world! And the time I get to spend with my dad and my sister doing something we all love.
Give some props to everyone helping you out.
My dad and my sister Valentina– they are so supportive of me (my sister and I compete for everything but we support each other too)

What are your superstitions, weird habits, or routines?
I like to drink my orange juice out of a special pink cup.
What is the fitness routine or training regimen off the bike?
I run 2 miles every day, plus lift weights and do chin holds. I also work out with the Core Trimmer (a company my sister and I own with our dad) It is a great ab and core workout, and I love it because I can do it anywhere – even when we are on the road.
Give us a hot take.
I am super determined, and I never give up. If I am challenged, I will never quit – it just makes me work harder. I only started riding a year ago and I had my first race in June of 2024. I have placed in the top 10 in every race I ever competed in – for girls and against boys. Even though I broke my ankle two weeks ago and could not compete in the last two races I still got 3rd and 4th place overall in the Awful Eight series.
Do you have any hidden talents or weird skills?
I am REALLY good at starts! I am also really good at selling anything and talking to anybody!
