DAILY BREAD KANNON HARGROVE
Kannon Hargrove of Montgomery, Texas, is a usual suspect, likely located at the front of the pack in big races. The number 17 Yamaha is so fast off the start you’d think it was going right through the gate. Hargrove’s effortless, fluid style makes the hardest sections look easy and the slowest sections look fast. Hargrove is currently positioned at MTF in Cairo, Georgia. There, a typical day consists of breakfast and a dynamic warmup before he hits the track. These are not your average practice days. Hargrove is subject to battles every day with some of the best that the sport has to offer. When he’s not in the saddle, Hargrove keeps the body in check with just the right blend of weight training, miles on the road bike, and a perfectly concocted cardio routine. He also keeps the brain sharp with a Rubik's cube, which he easily solves in under a minute. With spring nationals quickly approaching, Kannon’s head has been down, working tirelessly to get dialed in for the 2025 season. We sat down with the. 1-7 to get all the details on Kannon Hargrove.
Give us the basics. (name, age, hometown)
Kannon Hargrove, 16 and I’m from Montgomery Texas.
Tell us about getting your first motorcycle.
Getting my first motorcycle was amazing, definitely my favorite Christmas ever.
Describe a typical day in your life.
It’s a pretty simple but effective day at MTF. I start the day with some breakfast, then go to warm up, and after that, I get ready to hit the track. When the riding is done, I get all washed up and head to the gym. After the gym, I get time to do whatever I want.
If you were forced to have a non-athletic career, what would it be?
I would probably try to start a fishing charter.
Tell us about your funnest family member.
Probably my little sister. She is really silly and funny (for the most part) and is usually in a good mood.
Best moment on a motocross bike.
It’s a really close between the first time I made it to Loretta’s and my first moto win at Loretta’s.
Describe your training program.
It’s pretty simple and a little repetitive but I have a good routine with cardio and lifting.
Favorite pre-race meal?
I don’t have a specific one.
Gnarliest crash you’ve ever had.
My gnarliest crash was probably on 65s. I crashed in some 10 commandments and got run over really bad. I don’t know if it was the gnarliest, but it definitely did the most damage.
Best road trip story.
They are all way too long and pretty boring. I definitely don’t enjoy them so its hard to have really good road trip story.
Worst road trip story.
Probably all of them over 4 hours are the worst.
What do you love about being at the track besides racing your bike?
I like being with my family and friends. I don’t really do anything crazy at the races. I try to stay pretty chill but if I had to pick one, I would probably say riding pit bikes.
What are you looking forward to getting out of this sport?
I want to win at the pro level, that’s what I want out of this sport.
Give some props to everyone helping you out.

What are your superstitions, weird habits, or routines?
I don’t really have any of those.
What is the fitness routine or training regimen off the bike?
A lot of road cycling and weight training.
Give us a hot take.
Cole Davies will win a sx main this year.
Do you have any hidden talents or weird skills?
I can solve a Rubik’s cube in under 1 minute.
