JALEK SWOLL

Triumph’s Jalek Swoll had competed at an extremely high level thus far in the 2024 AMA Pro Motocross Championship, and had proven that his motorcycle was more than capable of contending for the highest of accolades in this premier series. He seemed to be in total synchronization with the track beneath his tires on Saturday, and after gathering a collection of astounding lines, the rider from Florida would take-off into the first moto with fearlessness. As the first five minutes or so of action had progressed, Jalek would capture the fourteenth-place position after battling twith opponents like Pierce Brown and Max Anstie. The fight to enter the top-ten was fierce and demanding, testing the entirety of a rider’s skillset if he wanted to acquire the most prestigious of positions. Swoll and the aforementioned Pierce Brown were on a similar trajectory in the final stages of the moto as well, though Haiden Deegan’s charge would force Swoll to descend one position when nearing the checkered flag. However Jalek would keep names like Max Anstie and Dilan Schwartz behind him through the checkered flag...eventually earning a final score of twelfth before advancing to the second moto. As racers swept through the wooded area on the first lap while storming toward the initial uphill section, Swoll seemed to reside around a standing of thirteenth. He, Drew Adams, Mark Fineis, and Joey Savatgy were all contending for a position, though it was Swoll who’s perseverance and determination acted as the attributes necessary to surpass them all. By the time eleventh lap had appeared, it was Swoll who secured an eleventh-place standing with the aforementioned riders now behind him...though a fierce battle with both, Ken Roczen and Savatgy would arise once more just before the checkered flag. Roczen was beginning to fade in the final three laps of competition, and once Swoll saw an opportunity to pass the German rider, he would leap forward — definitively putting the Suzuki machine behind him, while proceeding to contend with teammate Joey Savatgy in the moments thereafter. Though Savatgy was able to surpass him when nearing the checkered flag, Jalek’s ability to score a tenth (for this moto) would also generate a tenth-overall performance among the 250MX standings! It was a notable feat to conclude the AMA Pro Motocross Championship, and it would be an excellent showing for the Triumph brand as the team now proceeds to focus their attention on the SMX playoffs!
