JASON ANDERSON

After presenting strong-lap times in Minnesota last weekend, Jason Anderson once more would storm to the top of the leaderboard in qualification as well, for the Washougal national. He was fearless — and the Kawasaki rider had infiltrated the top-five making a rather bold pass, just after the finish line as the green-flag was waving. He overtook the third-position from Hunter Lawrence amid the entrance to the switchback lane, and immediately bolted toward Justin Cooper, who was second. However, after minutes continued to progress throughout the moto, Lawrence would then overtake him...deterring him to fourth, with Chase Sexton now approaching his rear wheel. The rider from Illinois would too, surpass him...but Anderson remained in the fight for a notable position — which aided his ability to obtain, the fourth-place standing on lap nine as Hunter Lawrence had fallen to the ground. And even with the Australian proceeding to then pursue his rear wheel, Anderson’s line of defense remained intact. He was composed, and excelled through the entirety of the sixteen-lap contest to acquire fourth...before advancing to the following round of racing. His ambition for this occasion, was next level...where he flew to the pinnacle of the field from an initial third-place residency — passing Hunter Lawrence and Justin Cooper for the lead, just after they crossed Horsepower Hill on the initial lap! His command and urgency to claim the first place position was incredible to see, and he immediately looked to break away from the pack. Time continued to transpire, and the prowess of Anderson was truly, something to see. It was though he were riding with a swagger that embodied infinite confidence, demonstrating elite level characteristics, through the twenty-minute mark of the moto. However just as the tenth lap began, Chase Sexton would display a swift move of speed and agility after the finish line, forcing Anderson to second. The Kawasaki athlete remained at the front of the pack however, constantly putting forth notable lap-times under challenging conditions of heat and a rugged track. He was aware, that his gap over Aaron Plessinger was more than sufficient...but Jason sought to prove a point when nearing the checkered flag. His output of speed through the final moments could be described as blistering, and as he flew across the finish-line on the concluding lap of the moto, Anderson’s ability to capture the second-place residency propelled him to third overall in the final standings!
