The Washington native was contending for the pinnacle position amid qualification rounds on Saturday, and Levi’s momentum from the Supercross Championship appeared to translate to this Millville circuit. He was extraordinary through the storied roller section(s), manual(ing) on the rear wheel while keeping the forks unloaded and remaining rather polished as the transitions became more “cupped” per se...and his efforts eventually led to a notable gate choice in the opening moto of the weekend. He sprinted through the green flag circuit, obtaining a standing near second, while seeking to track-down Haiden Deegan, in front of him. Kitchen was constantly upshifting as he passed the mechanic’s area in the laps that followed, unleashing an abundance of velocity with furious charging in the straightaways thereafter. He and Tom Vialle (who was third) were on a similar trajectory...and remained in the fight, which enabled Kitchen to claim the lead, just before the ten-minute mark, after a crash from Haiden Deegan. Though slight mistakes were made (including a slight tip-over), Kitchen maintained the lead and somehow stayed out of the extensive battling with opponents such as Tom Vialle, Deegan, and Jo Shimoda! He was on a clear path to the front, despite a brief instance of bar-to-bar action on behalf of the aforementioned number thirty. Even amid lap-traffic, however, Kitchen remained composed — weaving through the slower riders, keeping Shimoda at bay, and eventually surging his way forward to the checkered flag! The moto victory was incredible, and set the stage for moto two. He would excel among the muddy conditions for the following race, where a seventh-place position on the first lap was enough for him to remain in contention for the overall victory. By lap three, he had surpassed names like Ryder DiFrancesco and Dilan Schwartz, while also gaining a position on behalf of Tom Vialle due to his crash in the rollers. Now third, he then overtook Daxton Bennick just before initiating Mt. Martin, with eight and a half minutes transpiring on the clock. The runner-up residency was his, but Casey Cochran was over eight-seconds in front of him, upon the muddy terrain! However when nearly twenty minutes of competition had transpired, Kitchen began to nullify the margin that Cochran had made...and eventually made the pass, just before the twenty-five minute mark, across the downslope of Mt. Martin! His wheelie at the top of the mountain was pivotal, and allowed him to soak-up the descending take-off jump with a phenomenal shaving of airtime...and as a result, he took the lead from Casey! From that point onward, Kitchen remained focused on the checkered flag...ultimately claiming first place overall, via one-one scores!
