Proving that he’d been working diligently to improve all aspects of his race-craft, Kawasaki’s Ryder DiFrancesco appeared in control all the while embodying an efficient style amid practice rounds on Saturday. Watching him land and maneuver the bike with precision, the number seventy-five appeared on-point by the time the thirty-second board would go sideways in moto-one...where his talents and reaction time exclaimed dominance with an outstanding hole-shot while leading the field through turn number two. The Californian was possessing tremendous sprint speed and appeared confident with the likes of Jo Shimoda and Tom Vialle just behind him. He would maintain the lead through the fourth lap, before being passed by Tom Vialle and battling with Jo Shimoda, where he appeared to lose a slight bit of time in the rhythm section (beneath the catwalk). Though never discouraged, it was then a process of competing with Haiden Deegan and Seth Hammaker, one in which he conducted with fluidity while nearing the twenty-minute mark. Looking to his mechanic for cues as he raced passed the area of crew members, he was reminded to stay loose and omit the idea of rigidity — especially with the thirty-minute mark arising and the checkered flag appeared shortly thereafter. Yet a final battle amongst he, Levi Kitchen, and Maximus Vohland would be in store for the fans to cheer for...where Ryder ultimately was finalized in ninth, before heading into the second moto of the afternoon. Yet again, as the gates fell for the following portion of racing action, would DiFrancesco immediately leap to the front of the field and claim the hole-shot designation! And for this occasion, it appeared as though DiFrancesco appeared more fit, for the pinnacle position and the amount of pressure that came with it. He would lead for five full laps, prior to being passed by Jo Shimoda and Levi Kitchen. It was then a fight for every position on the racetrack as he defended a multitude of insides, including the switchback before the finish-line...but the speed of Tom Vialle and Haiden Deegan would be just slightly too much when heading into the final stages of the moto. But Ryder seemed to be displaying staying power once into the top-seven, and with Levi Kitchen unfortunately undergoing a devastating crash, it was Ryder who inherited a further spot forward by the time the checkered flag would wave. Ultimately concluding the moto in sixth, his second-moto performance would boost him to sixth in the overall standings as well; proving that his sprint speed was world class, as the AMA Pro Motocross Championship concluded.
