Continuing to build from his epic performance in Southwick, Massachusetts, KTM’s Tom Vialle would bring an abundance of power and speed to the racetrack in Minnesota on Saturday. It was evident that his confidence was high as he swept through berms with little regard for fear in practice, and proceeded to transition into the moto’s that followed on the same trajectory. His execution of leaping from the starting grate in the first portion of racing would equate to fifth, where he and countless other riders were immediately battling amongst a train of 250F engines! Though passed by RJ Hampshire and Hunter Lawrence, the French rider would travel in the same realm of speed as the series challengers; while eventually swapping positions with Yamaha’s Levi Kitchen as well! Vialle was sensational in every aspect of the Millville course, whether it was entrance speed into various corners (especially when descending from the top(s) of hills), or his sustained momentum through both roller sections. He would eventually make a lasting move on Kitchen for the seventh circuit of competition, while then seeking an even higher position in the running order, which was occupied by Haiden Deegan. As countless attempts of tripling up Mt.Martin where showcased, Vialle was defying the laws of speed as he continued to obliterate the rollers as the clock neared expiration! There was little that could rival the sand tracks of Europe in which he used to practice, which made sense when watching Vialle pack the front wheel in the final moments of competition on the Millville circuit...eventually grasping a sixth-place score, as all was settled in moto-one. Next to come, would be the latter afternoon stage of competition; where Vialle accrued eighth on the first lap, and immediately sought to make as many moves as possible. He would carve into the subtle wall jump before the mechanic’s area, dragging the foot-pegs time and time again prior to landing and spraying the competition who trailed with immense roost from his rear wheel! All he could seem to focus on (and rightfully so) was keeping Husqvarna’s RJ Hampshire at bay...and from laps eight through seventeen, that’s exactly what Vialle would do; obtaining fifth place for finality, which boosted he and his KTM machine to sixth in the final standings. And with Washougal now on the horizon, Vialle was excited to attack the newfound circuit in the Pacific Northwest.
