Continuously proving that he possesses the speed to compete at the highest of professional level(s), Florida’s Jalek Swoll would speed onto the racetrack in Massachusetts with a point to prove as the green flag waved for practice. Using the berms and deep sections of sand as a means to stop, there was little use for the braking mechanisms of his Husqvarna as he plowed through endless areas of this Northeastern soil. Which would lead to a notable fifth-place registry of lap-times being earned before entering into the main events that followed...and as his gate fell for the first moto, Swoll would nearly claim the hole-shot! He would rival Yamaha’s Justin Cooper into the first sweeping left-handed corner, almost tasing the number thirty-eight as he stormed through the uphill that was filled with rollers. He was then shuffled to fourth for a good while, doing his best to stay with top-tier contenders like Cooper, Tom Vialle, and Seth Hammaker. A slight mistake on lap three would have him deterred to twelfth, but Swoll wasn’t going to let his momentum come to a halt at this point in the moto...and instead, used his resiliency to stay in this position for a large duration of the race. Battling alongside Jimmy Decotis, Swoll’s aggression would be a catalyst as a means to move around the number 613; especially as laps began to cease and the thirty-minute mark would near. As the dust of Southwick eventually began to settle, it would be Swoll who scrubbed the final single before leaning into the last right-handed turn on the circuit — to gather a score of eleventh prior to heading back to the pit area. He knew his finish could be improved, however, therefore he focused on lessening his mistakes as he occupied a seventh-place residency on lap number one of the second moto. Pulling tear-off’s as quickly as possible when launching over the multitude of anthills on the circuit, his chassis would proceeded to swap from side to side, but Swoll wasn’t going to ever let off the throttle! He would be fender to fender with Levi Kitchen, all the while keeping Honda’s Hunter Lawrence behind him as the red-plate holder was having a hard time moving forward. Yet even with pressure from one of the strongest competitors in all of the sport (i.e. Lawrence), Swoll wasn’t going to fold — and instead, maintained his composure in the seventh-place position! And as he eventually passed Kitchen, while attempting to track down Maximus Vohland, a seventh-place score would be earned with finality — granting him ninth overall on the day!
