The KTM rider would be back for a performance inside the top-ten as the series headed east, distancing himself quite the ways from his native California soil(s). The versatility of Vohland was evident as he sped through the sloppy conditions of practice, managing to scrub his way over a multitude of singles, step-downs, and rollers alike en route to clenching eleventh prior to beginning the first moto. Once here, the field would storm around the sweeping left-handed corner with vision almost non-existent for those outside of the top five. Diving into the right-handed corner thereafter, the rollers that were (literally) just around the corner would be full of ruts going every which way — yet somehow would manage to capture a fifth place residency while passing by the green flag. He would reside here for a significant amount of time while battling with Ryder DiFrancesco and Chance Hymas. The Honda rider would continuously present a flurry of strong laps while attempting to overtake the KTM athlete, but Vohland’s lines through the wooded area would be exceptional as he rolled into the finish line area with unstoppable momentum. Slop would still comprise most of the track layout as he descended into various off-cambered corners — though his pace would have to be escalated as Kawasaki’s Jo Shimoda began to close the gap while nearing the checkered flag. Though the number thirty was firing at high velocities, it would be Vohland who stopped the infiltration of the Pro Circuit rider, along with Chance Hymas, while grasping a notable sixth-place position. For moto number two, he would be stuck (briefly) amongst a pile-up between Jalek Swoll and RJ Hampshire in the second corner of action; which had him outside of the top twenty, as he rushed to gather as many positions as possible. It would be a process of attrition as he swept from berm to berm; as even the outer lines of the raceway were still full of moisture, and any lapse of RPM would cause a severe loss of momentum aboard these 250F engines. Steadily though, Vohland moved forward; pulling as many tear-off’s as possible in the air and over the largest of sky jumps, before landing amongst a multitude of grooves that stretched (at times) over a hundred feet in length! He would work his way into the top fifteen, and managed to keep the likes of Caden Braswell, Talon Hawkins, and Preston Kilroy behind him...while acquiring a twelfth place score as the checkered flag was thrown, for tenth overall.
