Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Chris Blose would answer the call of duty, as action began in Detroit in Saturday. Signed on the premise of a veteran aptitude and solid results, Blose would exemplify those characteristics as much as possible throughout day-time qualifying; where he put his 250F into optimal positions, that led to an eventual prominent run in his heat race. He would begin the moto in eighth, looking ahead to make as many moves as possible (and quickly) with the field beginning to disperse. His speeds through the rhythm lanes were admirable, not scrubbing as much the younger generations of the division, but still soaking up as much airtime as possible when compressing the chassis into various face’s and takeoff’s around the circuit. This translated to fourth-place being accrued by the third circuit, where he was behind Hunter Lawrence, Nate Thrasher, and Tom Vialle. He was continuing to display tremendous momentum throughout the whoops, where he blasted through the moguls with brute force and a solid grip on the handlebars; gaining significant amounts of time here as they neared the three-quarter mark of the moto. All the while staying upon the rear wheel of Vialle, Blose would do everything in his power to overtake the KTM rider...but it was too little too late, as the veteran of the division would have to settle for fourth prior to exiting the raceway. Next to come, was that of the main event; where an initial fifth-place standing was tremendous, just behind rookie Haiden Deegan. Blose would stay planted in this vicinity for the duration of the moto, clicking off laps while toggling between the loamy outside cushion on the outer portion(s) of the raceway, and the acute inside ruts that were being made around various insides. Skying over the largest “SX” double, he landed on the gas after descending through the air; hearing a roaring KTM engine, just over his shoulder. It was Tom Vialle, who wasn’t going to let the number fifty-seven separate! But Blose had been in this situation on a number of occasions, and wasn’t going to let the Supercross newcomer pass by without a fight! They would battle for the duration of the moto, where Blose remained steadfast to the checkered flag. And even with Vialle’s last lap charge (that was still ongoing in the final corner), Blose kept the number 128 at bay, claiming fifth in front of a spectacular Detroit crowd!
