Wyatt Mattson made the long trip from Southern California to Millington, Michigan for the 2020 Baja Brawl, contesting the 250, 450 B Limited, and Schoolboy 2 (12-17) B/C classes. The Grindstone Compound backed rider collected some strong results throughout the weekend as he finished every single moto inside of the top ten with more than two-thirds of his finishes coming inside of the top five. In the 250 B class, the Husqvarna rider landed in 5th position in the first two motos and he was in position for a podium result in the third and final race. After starting in 2nd position, he made a mistake on the second lap and fell back to 8th position, ultimately finishing in 6th position overall. In the Schoolboy 2 (12-17) B/C division, Mattson earned 6th place overall yet again with 4-9-4 finishes throughout the three moto format, missing out on a spot within the top five due to the second moto. Regardless, the Californian was able to direct his determination and focus into the 450 B Limited class where he was consistently one of the top performers throughout the weekend. The Husqvarna rider had the fastest lap in all three races and took a total of two wins in addition to a hard-fought 2nd place in moto two, doing enough to earn himself the championship in commanding fashion.
