WAYNE POWERS - SENIOR 45+

Wayne Powers had some incredibly consistent performances at the 2020 Baja Brawl in the Senior (40+) and Senior (45+) classes, successfully finishing all six of his motos on the podium. The New Jersey native made the trip to Michigan for Labor Day Weekend and his results on the track definitely made the journey worthwhile. The Yamaha rider demonstrated unmatched consistency in the Senior (40+) division as he finished all three motos in 3rd position, which led to an impressive 3rd place overall finish. In the Senior(45+) class, Powers set himself up for success with a pair of victories in the first and second moto, charging forward from a 2nd place start in moto one and leading from start to finish in moto two. Additionally, his speed was evident as he set the fastest lap time in both races, using his speed advantage to put him in the driver’s seat of the championship chase heading into the final day of racing. In the third and final moto, the New Jersey native did the sensible thing after starting in 2nd position with the championship in mind, cruising to the podium finish as he captured the overall victory and the subsequent number one plate.
