After spending only a couple of months in the supermini divisions and making a quick transition to the B class, Daxton Bennick showed up at the 2020 Baja Brawl in an attempt to gain some more relevant race experience on his KTM 250 SX-F. The Troy Lee Designs and Red Bull supported rider had some impressive performances in his first B class outing at the Ranch, especially considering he was fresh off of a collarbone injury, collecting numerous podium finishes throughout the week. After a month of recovery and practice at his facility in North Carolina, Bennick was ready for battle at the Baja Brawl in Michigan. The KTM rider registered to compete in the 250 B, 250 B Limited, and Schoolboy 2 (12-17) B/C classes at the Brawl. He finished 5th overall in 250 B despite a tough 9th place finish in the second moto and he performed well in the Schoolboy 2 (12-17) B/C class, bouncing back from a 6th place finish in moto one in order to earn a 2nd place overall result. Nonetheless, the 250 B Limited class was where Bennick did the most damage as he was untouchable in all three motos throughout Labor Day Weekend. The North Carolina native practically led each and every moto from start to finish and he unsurprisingly set the fastest lap time in all three races as well, leaving no doubt that he was the top competitor in the 250 B Limited class at the 2020 Baja Brawl. Bennick did well to snag his first title in the B Class with a dominant performance in the sands of Millington Michigan, undoubtedly accumulating some momentum for the rest of the season.
