2016 was the first year of a two year stint for Levi Kitchen aboard a Husqvarna, competing at Loretta Lynn’s that year in the Mini Sr. 2 and Supermini 2 classes. The rider out of Washougal, Washington finished inside the top ten in both of his classes but showed the potential to finish further up the field which was hindered by inconsistent finishes. In the Mini Sr. 2 division, Kitchen finished 3rd place in the opening moto but a 34th in the second moto ultimately brought his overall result down to 10th place. In the Supermini 2 class, Kitchen managed consistent results on the edge of the top ten which combined for a solid 8th place overall finish. The Supermini 2 class was won by current 250 Geico Honda rider Jo Shimoda and the Mini Sr. 2 class was topped by none other than last year’s 250 Pro Motocross Rookie of the Year, Star Racing Yamaha’s Ty Masterpool.
