How long have you been a moto dad?

About three years

Were you into motorcycles before becoming a moto dad?

I was into motorcycles/dirt bikes when I was younger, we had a ranch and a small track.

Describe a typical race weekend for you.

Going through the bikes to make sure they are ready to race and spending a week just getting the motor home and trailer ready.

What’s your family’s favorite meal to have at the track?

Tacos.

Do you have any pre-race rituals or superstitions while spectating?

Pacing, and telling the boys have fun and that I love them.

Most nerve-wracking moment watching your kid(s) race/ride?

When I saw Krosby getting carted off in the medical cart because I couldn't see where he was and they wouldn't let me on the track.

Favorite part about spending time at the track?

Spending time with the family and our moto friends. I feel like we have more in common with moto friends than friends we have had for years.

Favorite and least favorite part about traveling to the races?

Are we there yet?”...and every truck stop “can we get something!?”

Craziest travel story?

When we were heading up to Grays Harbor in Washington and a tire blew out causing damage to the wiring of the motor home making the slide-out go out while still driving.

Most important lesson motocross teaches at a young age?

That you get what you put into it and that's how you really need to look at life.

Biggest sacrifice you’ve had to make for amateur motocross?

It's not really a sacrifice because how do you justify or lose anything by spending quality time with your kids and family.

Proudest moment of your career as a moto dad thus far?

Honestly every time I get to watch my kids loving what they do. It makes me proud that I can support them

What’s your favorite track?

Washougal because it's surrounded by big evergreens.

Who is your favorite pro racer (past or present)?

Jeremy McGrath - finally got to meet him last year at Mammoth.

What is your favorite type of music?

Country. 

What hobbies do you have away from motorcycles?

I use to golf a lot but as we all know there is no time for any hobbies. I enjoy taking our boat and jet skis out in the summer.

What is your beverage of choice?

Ice Tea and Coors Light

Any advice for the moto dads of the future?

Just have fun and enjoy the moment. Do not make it a job or a chore to go to the track and always, always try to be positive.
