What’s your name and where are you from?
Joseph “Waylon” Hughes and I live in Manning, SC.
What classes do you race?
50cc 4-6 Limited, Special Limited, E-bike, and sometimes the Open class.
How did you get into motorcycles?
Chandler (my cousin) had a dirt bike and I liked to watch dirt bikes on TV so I asked for one for Christmas and I got one.
Tell us about your first race.
I was on my Honda and Mr. Donnie (Moto-Vated Sports) had to help me around the whole track.
What other sports do you like?
I don’t like any other sports.
Describe a typical day at the track for you.
I get to hangout with my family and friends and have tons of fun riding.
Favorite meal to have before you race?
Fruity Pebbles.
Best moment on a motocross bike?
When I got that shiny gold Bomber helmet at the Spring a Ding Ding on my P3.
Biggest crash you’ve had?
On the big table top at my house when I broke my arm.
Best road trip story.
I liked going to Texas because I got to see all kinds of stuff. It was a really long ride though.
What’s your favorite track to ride?
Moto X Compound.
Who is your favorite professional racer and why?
Eli Tomac because he is really fast.
