How did you get into motorcycles?
My granddad used to ride and race dirtbikes, my dad used to ride and race MX, and my big brother Chance Barringer races currently. MX is in my blood, it's just what my whole family does!
Tell us about your first race.
My first race ever was at Valley MX, AMA District 14, in Stanton Michigan. My parents knew I was ready in 2017, and I couldn't wait to line up at the gate. I was the youngest, tiniest kid on the line! I ended up taking 2nd place in my first race ever...and boy were we hooked!
What other sports do you like?
Baseball, mountain biking, basketball, anything athletic related.
Describe a typical day at the track for you.
A typical day at the track for me is early wakeup, mom making breakfast, dad myself and brothers prepping bikes, training or racing hard depending on what we're at the track for, pit bike riding every spare second, visiting with all my moto friends and moto family, watching other riders on the track, pushing myself hard, and just living the dream in the moto world. I pretty much live at tracks, whether it be local, traveling for Nationals, or at our own. My family owns two tracks where we do a lot of our training: Our northern track in Michigan: www.facebook.com/FredneckRanch and our southern track in Texas: http://www.facebook.com/BarringerRacingTG
Favorite meal to have before you race?
Sausage links off the grill, blueberries, and yogurt.
Best moment on a motocross bike?
My best road trip ever was when my family committed to the Dirty 100, our longest, craziest trip we when we went from Michigan down to Texas, raced the whole Texas Winter Series, straight on to the Ricky Carmichael Supercross Championship, onto Spring A Ding Ding, then over to JS7, then back home for some Local food AMA District 14 races, and Loretta Area Qualifiers, Regionals, Lorettas, Baja Brawl, Motoplayground Race at Ponca City, Mini O's, and finally Arizona Open to close out the year. This road trip allowed me to race every darn weekend, catch some Pro Nationals, catch some Pro Supercross races, and literally live the moto life dream.
Best road trip story.
This year when we went to Las Vegas to race Monster Cup then left there and went onto Ponca.
What’s your favorite track to ride?
Wildwood MX, with Real Deal Training Facility in Louisiana. The owner, Rob, is amazing and we've loved utilizing the track, and facility. A truly top-notch place!
Who is your favorite professional racer and why?
Kevin Windham because he throws some seriously fat whips! I also admire his consistency!! Consistency makes champions!
Who would you like to thank for helping you out?
Barringer Racing Team, GranDad's Texas Mesquite Connection, my mom and dad, Stevens Cycle Sales, Valley Motocross, Fredneck Ranch, FXR Racing, Mika Metals, Engine Ice, Dunlop Tires, and Shoei.
