What’s your name and where are you from?

Max Catano from Colombia, South America.

What classes do you race?

85cc classes.

How did you get into motorcycles?

I started riding motorcycles because a bike my dad gave me as a gift.

Tell us about your first race.

My first race was in Medellin, Colombia. I was 8 years old on a 50.

What other sports do you like?

I like speed bikes and boxing.

Describe a typical day at the track for you.

When I’m in the US I take my breakfast at 7 am, then I do my homeschooling until 12 pm, then I go to the track and I usually start riding at 2:30 pm until 6 o’clock. Usually, I go to bed at 9:30 pm.

Favorite meal to have before you race?

Before a race, I usually eat fast carb food like white bread or chocolate to increase my energy during the races.

Best moment on a motocross bike?

2019 when I qualified for Loretta Lynn’s in the 65cc class, becoming the first Colombian rider to accomplish that.

Best road trip story.

In 2019, I went to Italy for the FIM Junior World Championship, that was my first time in Europe and I visited the Coliseum and the Vatican.

What’s your favorite track to ride?

My favorite track is definitely Dade City MX.

Who is your favorite professional racer and why?

My favorite pro racer is definitely Ken Roczen because of his mental strength and where he’s at now after having a big crash and several surgeries.
