What’s your name and where are you from?
Alec King from Summerville, South Carolina.
What classes do you race?
250 C and 250 C Limited.
How did you get into motorcycles?
My grandad raced motocross back in the day and my dad was a road racer. I had a motocross bike before I was born. I rode until my dad passed away when I was 6 and I had to put riding on hold for a few years, but luckily I was able to pick it back up when I was 14.
Tell us about your first race.
My first race was when I was 14 and it was the Gatorback Gold Cup before Mini O’s. I was competing on a 125 in 125 B/C and Schoolboy 1. It was very intimidating because I had never raced but it was the gate drop I had been looking forward to my whole life.
What other sports do you like?
MotoGP, IMSA Racing, Formula 1.
Describe a typical day at the track for you.
A typical day is at least two twenty minute motos. I like to work on starts and sprint laps to work on speed.
Favorite meal to have before you race?
Peanut butter and jelly sandwich!
Best moment on a motocross bike?
My first moto win at Midway MX back home! I came off the track and I had over fifty of my family and friends cheering me on!
Best road trip story.
Spring Nationals 2019, we drove from Georgia to Daytona and then back to Georgia and then immediately to Kemp, Texas. I had a lot of fun driving all over with the family!

AMX Park Off-Road aka Zach Bell’s house
Who is your favorite professional racer and why?
Ryan Villopoto for his style and work ethic.
