What’s your name and where are you from?

Jace Williams from Denison, Texas.

What classes do you race?

85cc (9-11), 85cc (10-12)

How did you get into motorcycles?

Both my grandpas raced, as well as my dad and uncles.  It’s been in the family since the 1970s. My grandpa won the Mammoth Mountain Old Timers National when he was in his 60s.

Tell us about your first race.

My first race was when I was 3 years old at the old Starwest MX in Perris, CA. I fell several times per lap and dad got a really good workout, but I was hooked!

What other sports do you like?

Mountain biking, golf, and baseball.

Describe a typical day at the track for you.

Last year I started training regularly at Reynard Training Complex. Robbie has a great program and varies it each day. Some days are sprints, some days long motos, and great section practice most every day.

Favorite meal to have before you race?

Chick-Fil-A!!!

Best moment on a motocross bike?

Winning MX Master Kids in Verdun, France last summer!

Best road trip story.

Last year our family loaded up in the box van to go to Cal Classic and a Road to Mammoth race at Milestone. After racing those two races, I got invited to go to Bakersfield and ride with Jett (Reynolds) and Ryder (DiFrancesco), so we stayed until the following weekend to do that. The next weekend was SX Futures in Las Vegas and mom and dad decided to do that, too. A two-week trip turned into over a month!

What’s your favorite track to ride?

Freestone.

Who is your favorite professional racer and why?

Jett Lawrence because of his style and speed. He also has a funny and great personality.
