CLARKSON HAGAN

What’s your name and where are you from?

Clarkson Hagan from Owensboro, Kentucky.

What classes do you race?

I race the 51cc (4-6) Limited class.

How did you get into motorcycles?

My parents bought me a CRF 50 with training wheels when I was 3 for Christmas and ever since I really enjoyed riding.

Tell us about your first race.

My mom took me to South Fork in Leitchfield, KY while dad was working and it was supposed to be an open practice. Well, that was not the case it was actually a Kentuckiana Series race. So here I was with a new Yamaha PW 50 and fresh to the motocross world. The track was huge! LOL and I think I spent as much time on the ground or hung up in the ruts as I did riding. Lol It sure was a work out for my mom as she ran around the track all day. (Sorry MOM)

What other sports do you like?

If I have to pick another sport it would be baseball or basketball.

Describe a typical day at the track for you.

A typical day at the race track is I like to do a track walk with my dad first thing in the morning. I really enjoy hanging out with friends from different states and playing MX vs ATV on Xbox, building dirt bike tracks for the little toy dirt bikes which I think my parents have bought me one hundred of those cheap built things HAHA. And I typically ride pit bikes after the races are over.

Favorite meal to have before you race?

Bologna and Grippo’s.

Best moment on a motocross bike?

The best moment on my dirt bike is when I win races of course, but making it to Loretta’s my first year trying in 2019 and finishing in the top fifteen!

Best road trip story.

Coming home from the Byron Illinois Regional and dad had to pull over on the side of the highway and pull my first tooth as it was bleeding and bothering me really bad.

What’s your favorite track to ride?

Gatorback (Mini O’s) and Lincoln Trail in Illinois.

Who is your favorite professional racer and why?

Austin Forkner because of his drive and love for the sport. The heart he shows to win is something I want to show one day.

Who would you like to thank for helping you out?

I would really like to thank mom and dad, Kyle Durham, Dakota Mckay, Matt Walker (Moto X), Tyler at Monster Mountain, Zero Limit Designs, Minton Cycles, Cobra, and all my family and friends that support me.
