I am from Giddings, Texas, but I became a moto mom in Middle Georgia.

Who is(are) your rider(s)?

My son is Crockett Myers.

How long have you been a moto mom?

I watched Crockett take his fist ride on a Honda 50cc twelve years ago.

Were you into motorcycles before becoming a moto mom?

Not at all. I rode four-wheelers with my cousins in our horse/cow pastures when I was a kid. My Mema and Papa had dirt bikes, but they didn't race.

Describe a typical race weekend for you.

On a race weekend, I am the cook and cleaner. I take Crockett to sign up. I feel the need to make sure he knows how many more motos to go before he needs to go to staging, even though he has proven himself capable of getting to the gate on time without my help. I can't help it.

What’s your family’s favorite meal at the track?

We mostly eat sandwiches for lunch and go to town for dinner.

Do you have any pre-race rituals or superstitions while spectating?

We pray...a lot. I pray through all of his motos. I try to do this silently, but when I am really nervous I start talking out loud.

Most nerve-wracking moment watching your kid(s) race/ride?

Truth is, I am really nervous when Crockett is racing. It gets worse every year. I am the same nervous at a local race as I am at Loretta's. This past Mini O's was really bad, I am not sure why. So I pray...

Favorite part about being at the track?

I love to see my boys happy and having fun. Even my oldest son that doesn't race loves going to races. I love seeing all our friends. I also enjoy watching dirtbike racing!

Favorite and least favorite part about traveling to the races?

I love seeing all our friends. I also enjoy watching dirtbike racing! I really dislike packing, unpacking, and all the cleanup. I also hate injuries that come with this sport.

Craziest travel story?

Heading from Georgia to Junior Moto X in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Our truck broke down in Arkansas. As we are sitting on the side of the road, Bobby Capps calls. Moto dads often call to chat while we are all traveling across the country. Bronson told him where we were broke down. Bobby said you are thirty minutes from my hometown. In less than an hour, his buddy shows up with a truck for us to borrow and a tow truck for our broke down truck. In less than two hours, we were back on the road. Crockett won at the Junior MotoX, which was on Mother’s Day!

The most important lesson motocross teaches at a young age.

Crockett has learned to chase his dreams and to work hard. I think moto has given him faith in Jesus Christ too. It has taught him to be a humble winner and a gracious loser.

What’s your secret to getting all the dirt stains out of riding gear?

I stopped trying a long time ago. We have practice gear and race gear. I wash and dry it all. No, I do not hang it to dry...sorry Kayla Mead (Answer rep) I add OxiClean to the wash. Crockett is very, very, very picky about the way his gear feels and fits. He likes his pants to be soft...drying helps this. He stills wears pants with Suzuki on them and holes in the butt, even though he no longer rides for Suzuki, because they feel good and soft. But, only for training, lol.

Proudest moment of your career as a moto mom thus far?

Honestly, I am most proud when Crockett thanks Jesus Christ on the podium before anyone else. As far as on the track. Hmmm...it is usually when he is having to fight from behind. This past Loretta's he showed a lot of heart and grit. He knows when he is in the back, no one is watching him. So, when he continues to scratch and claw just to make as many passes as possible, it makes me proud.

What’s your favorite track?

I don't really judge tracks, but I do have my favorite pits. Gatorback feels like our home track. I like how clean Daytona is and Spring A Ding Ding is fun. Loretta's is my all-time favorite race. I guess I didn’t really answer that right, sorry.

Who is your favorite pro racer?

250 - Favorite pro is Shane McElrath.

450 - It seems like I always want Ken Roczen to win.

What is your favorite genre of music?

Texas Country and classic country.

What is your favorite movie/tv show?

The Today Show. Mostly The 4th Hour with Hoda and Jenna.

What is in your red solo cup?

Oh, you know I have a little wine when racing finishes for the day.

Any advice for the moto moms of the future?

My advice is to enjoy the ride and love on your kid as much as possible.
