How long have you been a moto mom?
Eight years!
Were you into motorcycles before becoming a moto mom?
Not at all until I started dating Todd at 17.
Describe a typical race weekend for you.
I have three kids, so nothing is typical! Lol... pack clothes, pack groceries, sleep, eat, race, repeat... always going in three different directions, somebody always needs money for track food, somebody’s pit bike is always broke, can’t find one for hours. Somebody is mad. But it’s always a fun and good time!
What’s your family’s favorite meal at the track?
Probably steak night!
Do you have any pre-race rituals or superstitions while spectating?
I’m not superstitious at all, but we do always pray with Dax before every race. I feel it’s very important to teach him, win or last place, we are thankful to God for his protection and the opportunity
Most nerve-wracking moment watching your kid(s) race/ride?
It would have to be Loretta’s 2018 when he had led every lap of all three motos, and his bike quit on the last lap, one turn before the checkered flag....nerve-wracking and heartbreaking to say the least!
Favorite part about being at the track?
Seeing my boy do what he loves and the work paying off is definitely the best part!
Favorite and least favorite part about traveling to the races?
Favorite - we are all together as a family, a team.
Least favorite - Todd’s driving!
Craziest travel story?
Too many!!! 1) Breaking down 45 minutes from home, for hours, on the way to LL. 2) Having a blowout on four different tires, four different times, same trip. 3) How about the refrigerator door flying open and TWO GALLONS of milk busting all over the motorhome carpet. 4) Going to the ER, getting stitches, two days in a row, before racing even started... and I have plenty more!
The most important lesson motocross teaches at a young age.
Work hard, you get out what you put in.
What’s your secret to getting all the dirt stains out of riding gear?
BIZ, Oxy-Clean, pressure wash ASAP!
Proudest moment of your career as a moto mom thus far?
The same heartbreaking race at Loretta’s in 2018 - the way Dax handled himself during that disappointment. No stomping, throwing goggles, temper tantrum....he put his head down, pushed the bike across the finish line. I think he earned a lot of respect that day.

Our track at home! But for fun/excitement - Loretta’s

Any advice for the moto moms of the future?
ENJOY IT! Be there as much as you can, and let them have fun!
